About the Tutoring

Anyone from Grade 7 through university, and working professionals preparing for graduate admissions tests. Whether you're struggling to pass or pushing for a top score, every session is tailored to exactly where you are right now — no judgment, no one-size-fits-all approach.

Test prep: SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT. High school: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology. University level: Statistics, Research Methods, Business Analytics, and Machine Learning. University admissions counselling is also available for both undergraduate and MBA programs.

Primarily online via video call, which means students anywhere in the world can work with Neil. This also means no commuting time — sessions fit around your schedule. In-person sessions in Toronto may be available on request.

Every session is one-on-one with Neil directly — not a junior staff member or a rotating tutor. You get the same experienced instructor every time, someone who knows your history, your weak spots, and your goals. Tutoring centres divide attention across many students. Here, the focus is entirely on you.

It depends on your starting point, your goal, and how much time you have before an exam or deadline. A student aiming for a 150-point SAT improvement with 3 months to go will follow a very different plan from someone needing ongoing university course support. Neil will give you a realistic, honest estimate after the free consultation — no inflated package upselling.

Results & Expectations

Neil's students have averaged 100–150 point SAT improvements, 5–10 point ACT gains, and 70–100 point GRE/GMAT improvements. Results depend on starting score, time available, and effort between sessions. Neil will always set honest expectations upfront — the free consultation is a good time to discuss what's achievable for your specific situation.

Most students notice meaningful progress within 3–5 sessions as foundational gaps are identified and addressed. Significant score gains typically require 8–12 weeks of consistent work. Students who complete practice between sessions consistently progress faster than those who don't.

Yes. Neil has extensive experience advising students on applications to competitive undergraduate and MBA programs worldwide. His students have been admitted to Harvard, Stanford, Yale, UPenn, UChicago, Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, UC Berkeley, University of Toronto, UBC, McGill, and many other top institutions.

Most tutoring fails because it treats symptoms rather than causes — drilling practice questions without fixing the underlying gaps. Neil's approach starts by diagnosing exactly where understanding breaks down, then rebuilding from there. The goal is never just the next test. It's building the kind of academic confidence where a student sits down in an exam and thinks: "I've got this."

Practical & Logistics

Pricing depends on the subject, frequency, and package length. Contact Neil for a personalized quote — the free 30-minute consultation is the best place to discuss this with no pressure or commitment required.

No long-term contract is required. That said, students who commit to a structured plan of at least 8 sessions consistently see the strongest results. One-off sessions are available but are best suited to targeted question reviews, not building new skills from scratch.

It's a relaxed 30-minute conversation — no test, no pressure. Neil will ask about your goals, current level, and timeline, then suggest a realistic plan. You decide from there whether to proceed. There's no obligation and no hard sell.

Sessions cancelled with at least 24 hours notice can be rescheduled at no charge. Late cancellations may be counted as a completed session. Life happens — just communicate early and things can almost always be worked out.

All standard sessions are one-on-one to ensure fully personalized instruction. Small group options for test prep (2–3 students) may be available for siblings or friends preparing for the same exam — ask during the consultation and Neil can advise based on your situation.
